You turn on the faucet, and for a second you wonder if someone filled the sink from the community pool. You're not imagining it — and you're not the only one in Orlando noticing it.

- First draw of the day. Water sitting in your home's pipes overnight can smell stronger on that first morning pour.
- System maintenance. Utilities periodically adjust disinfection levels during maintenance or in response to testing — temporary spikes in smell usually trace back to this.
What actually removes it.
